Can I bring my furry friends? You're welcome to bring your furry friends to the Museumspark. There's plenty for your dog to explore in the expansive grounds. Dogs must be kept on a leash in the park. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed on any tours that require transport in a vehicle.

Can I bring my bike to the park? We'd love for you to travel sustainably by bike, so we're happy to welcome any bike to the park – free of charge, of course.

How much time should I plan for a visit? Of course, you can spend the whole day with us. But you'll need at least two hours to explore the grounds.

How long is the distance from the entrance to the shaft furnace battery? Approximately 1 km lies between the entrance and the impressive shaft furnace battery with its 18 furnaces.

Is mining still taking place in the open-pit mine next door? The current mining permit is valid until 2062. On weekdays, you can also follow the mining activities live at the edge of the open-pit mine.

How do I get to the Museumspark? By car From the A10 'Berliner Ring' motorway, take the Rüdersdorf junction and follow the signs. By public transport Take the S3 S-Bahn to the 'Friedrichshagen' stop, then tram 88 to the 'Rüdersdorf – Museumspark' stop, or take the regional express train to the 'Erkner' stop, then bus 950 to the 'Rüdersdorf – Museumspark' stop. By bike The 66 Lakes Trail is Brandenburg's most important hiking trail and one of the most attractive flat hikes in Germany. The circular route runs around Berlin. Hikers are guided through the Brandenburg landscape, dotted with countless lakes, the outstanding hallmark of this region – directly past the Museum Park. By boat The new marina, located right outside the gates of the Museum Park, was inaugurated in 2020. It is located on the Straußberger Mühlenfließ stream, near the former mining clerk's office, at Heinitzstraße 11. There is no fee for mooring at our marina for 24 hours. Starting from the second day, a fee of €25 per day applies. Electricity is charged separately.

Can I bring my RV? Camping continues to be a popular way to spend my vacation, and our Oder-Spree Lake District is particularly popular due to its beautiful and diverse waterways. That's why we've also set up a RV parking area in our parking lot. A day trip with your four-wheeled adventure is definitely worth it. The parking area has water and waste disposal facilities.
