Spanning 17 hectares, the Museumspark has something to offer everyone – experiences for school classes, families, clubs – for all those thirsting for knowledge.
The 'Brandenburger Tor', Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam, the Berlin Olympic Stadium and many other important buildings in Berlin and Brandenburg have one thing in common:
They were built with limestone from Rüdersdorf. Limestone began to be quarried and burned over 750 years ago.
Since at least the 17th century, Rüdersdorf has been considered a supplier of building materials for Berlin. The open-cast mine remains active to this day, and the cement factory exports Rüdersdorf cement throughout Europe.

Geo Tour
Collecting fossils in quarries isn't possible in Northern Germany? It does exist!
On our geological tour, after a theoretical introduction in our geological exhibition, we'll head out by off-road vehicle into the active limestone open-pit mine. Here, you can personally retrieve fossilized animals from the former Triassic Sea.

Comfort Tour
Are you visiting the Museumspark with a group or your family, but not everyone is comfortable on foot? Would you like to explore our grounds without having to walk a single step? Then our Comfort Tour with an electric golf cart is just the thing! Come with us on a journey of discovery through 770 years of mining and industrial history in our park, full of industrial monuments, manicured green spaces, and beautiful views.

Guided Tunnel Tour
Every year during the summer months, the local mining association offers regular tours of the Heinitz Tunnel! Every first Sunday of the month, at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., there's a wealth of mining history, facts about limestone, and insights into the lives of the miners underground.

Stamping Stations
The park features several hidden spots of particular significance. These are where our seven stamp stations are hidden, where you can collect letters that will then spell out the solution word .
The stamp stations are a great way for children to explore the entire museum park.
Anyone who has collected all the stamps can hand in the answer sheet at the cash desk and receive a small surprise .
